I am a huge fan of ebooks. I love my kindle and regually scan Amazon's Kindle ebooks for a good free read.
Last night i decided to look for some crochet books with the intention of buying a hardback copy. I come across a page of completely free ebooks containing various patterns and items and they jumped straight onto my kindle :D I am a competent knitter and crocheter but i like to have things in one place. I cant grumble at free :)
Here is a list of books i grabbed with both hands.
Crochet
*As a note: Sayjai's Amazing Crochet Pattern Collection is written in American terms not European. The idea is the same but there is different terminology used. You can read about the differences here*
All require basic knowledge of crochet and to be able to read a pattern. There is some really good books available to buy on Amazon for learning from scratch. Or you could visit your local library or check out charity shops.

Knitting
This one (below) is not met with amazing reviews but there is some good craftable instructions in there. It costs nothing to look at it so was worth the download
This i thought was nice and handy if you are just starting out.

If you do not have kindle, you can download the kindle app on ipad/iphone, android or pc so you can still enjoy the benefits of free ebooks
