I love a nice smelling house. I use a range of candles and incense but i do like to use Febreze for fabrics. Febreze unless on offer though can work out quite expensive. I found a tutorial online some time ago about making your own and have used this ever since.
Homemade Febreze
Items needed:
- Spray bottle - if your feeling extra frugal, re use a spray bottle from an old cleaning spray - just rinse out first
- Fabric softener
- Baking soda
- Essential oils (optional)
- Hot water
Simply mix 2 tsps baking soda with some fabric softener and top up with hot water. Give it a shake and its done! Its really simple to make and really cost effective.
As with anything that ends up on fabrics, do test it first. I havent had a problem with it as of yet but it is just in case.
The essential oils are optional. I personally feel the fabric softener is enough of a scent but you could test it on a towel and if you feel it needs more smell, add more fabric softener or a drop of your favourite oil.
